REQUIREMENTS
THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY FOR MEMBERSHIP IN FISH AIDES
Maintaining a minimum G.P.R. of 2.0
Being an active, committed member of the Student Government Committee or Commission to which you are assigned by attending meetings and executing responsibilities with excellence.
Attending meetings every other week to learn about different facets of leadership, to listen to well-respected speakers, and to partake in activities to practically build upon leadership skills.
Paying annual dues of $150 which are used for a Fish Aides T-shirt, Fall and Spring Retreat, seasonal social gatherings, and other programs and events. (Note: other apparel and the cost of the winter service trip are not included in member dues but are optional for each member).
Signing a Fish Aides’ member contract, agreeing to pursue excellence in your commitment to Fish Aides by attending all mandatory events and abiding by the appropriate standards of the organization and its events.
Participating in community service opportunities with the organization including, but not limited to Custodian Banquet, Fall Retreat, the Big Event, and a winter service trip.
Attending all mandatory events listed below (Specific times for these events, as well as dates for other mandatory events will be issued throughout the year)
Mandatory Dates and Events for 2022-2023
- Reveal Night– The evening of Tuesday, Sept. 26th 6:30-11:30pm
- First Meeting – The evening of Thursday, Sept. 28th 8:00-10:00pm
- SGA Committee Preference Night- Thursday, Oct. 5th 6:00-8:00pm
- Bi-monthly meetings: Thurs. 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30, Â 8:00-10:00pm in Koldus 144
- Fish Aides Parent Reveal: October 12th
- Fall Retreat: October 21st-22nd
- Custodian Banquet: April 11th
- Spring Retreat: March 22nd – 23rd
- Family Banquet: April 14th
- Last Night: April 18th
Apart from these mandatory activities (in which you will WANT to partake), this community provides ample opportunity to get to know others in informal settings. Fish Aides love to make memories and develop deep, rich bonds of friendship that last well beyond freshman year.
